Good room with plenty of space and modern facilities. Wonderful location in a modernised castle, beautiful views, fascinating history.
Dinner was good but overpriced.
It was remote some 156 kilometres from Teruel but its location was stunning, built as a stronghold in (I think, the 11th Century) with the town just below it. Rooms were clean, comfortable and food was of the region. Its distance from the motorway took us some 4 hours plus.
good value, comfortable room, not impressed with the check in girl, found her very cold.
Top class facilities and magnificent building and location
Splendid location and fantastic views. Very clean and comfortable. The service was good and the food excellent. A one night stay plus dinner and breakfast for two adults was approx 200 euros which is verging on the expensive.
Do not treat Paradors as a low cost option for overnight stays. The cost if anything is high but is generally outweighed by the facilities/location/service
The silence and the view are amazing.
It combined a spectacular historic location with great modern comfort. I am in a wheelchair and was able to function very easily in the hotel with great support from the staff who behaved as if it were perfectly normal to deal with someone in a wheelchair. The breakfasts were especially good and even the coffee had some taste!
Interesting to ser where kingston lived.
Good location and parking. Nice castle and dining room. Well located on top of the hill. Good breakfast. Nice surroundings (Maestrazgo)
Hotel needs some refurbishment. Restaurant could improve main dishes, otherwise entries and wine list o.k.
Lovely views from the Parador and a quiet restful garden for tea or drinks, nice tour of the chapel that is attached with a very informative tour of the history. The rooms were quiet with a comfortable bed.
Excellent location, excellent views, very friendly and helpful staff. Paradors are a bit more expensive than other hotels in Spain but Alcaniz is really worth to stay in.
The hotel is a stylish and sympathetic renovation of an old castle. The town is a short but steep walk away. The dining rooms are magnificent
Nice rooms, good view, freindly staff
The restaraunt was not too good, prices quite high.
The environment and atmosphere of the converted castle/convent.
